Terms of the sale:

• If the buildings are purchased by a different buyer than the purchaser of the land, the purchaser of the buildings shall remove them from the property within 20 days of the auction, no later than Sept. 1, 2026, at the purchaser’s sole expense;

• The purchaser of the land shall be responsible for all cleanup resulting from the fire at the purchaser’s expense, with the cleanup to be completed no later than October 31, 2026;

• Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids;

• Highest bidder may not necessarily be accepted;

• Sale is subject to final approval by Council;

• The successful bidder shall enter into a purchase agreement with the municipality at the time of sale;

• Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit of 10% of the total bid amount by certified cheque or bank draft;

• The successful bidder(s) will have 30 days to pay the balance of the bid amount or the deposit will be forfeited;

• The property is sold “as is” with no representations or warranties made by the R.M. regarding the condition of the property and buildings.
