Public Notice of Discretionary Use

Pursuant to Section 55 of the Planning and Development Act, 2007, the Council of the Rural

Municipality of Estevan No. 5, gives notice that a discretionary use application has been received and the details are as follows:

Proposed Development:

COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

Agricultural Resource District

Located at SE ¼ -27-1-9-W2, SE ¼ 26-1-9-W2, SW ¼ 26-1-9-W, and NE ¼ 26-1-09-W2

Intended Discretionary Use:

The proposed development is a Solar Collector Farm that is capable of delivering 100 MW AC of electrical energy to the SaskPower grid.

Public Hearing:

Council will hold a public hearing to receive any written or verbal submissions on the proposed discretionary use application at 11:00 a.m. (local time) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the Council Chambers of the RM of Estevan No. 5, 1-322 4th Street, Estevan, Saskatchewan. Written submissions will be presented to Council and can be delivered to the RM office, or emailed at administrator@rmestevan.ca.
