NOTICE: 293 Exemption Forms

In accordance with provisions under The Municipalities Act, the assessment of a residence is reduced by the assessment of agricultural land which the occupants own or lease in this municipality or an adjacent rural municipality. To be eligible for the exemption, you must own or lease land in the R.M. of Estevan or one of the following adjoining Rural Municipalities:
RM of Coalfields No. 4
RM of Cambria No. 6
RM of Browning No. 34
RM of Benson No. 35
RM of Cymri No. 36
Please note, if the owner is using the assessment of a parcel of land to reduce the assessment on their residence, the lessee cannot use the same parcel of land for their exemption.
If you are eligible for the exemption, you will need to complete a declaration form which can be downloaded below or you can pick one up at the office.
Please return the form and supporting documentation by emailing it to rm5@rmestevan.ca or dropping it off at the office. The form must be retuned prior to March 31, 2026.
